Thank you so much to everyone who has posted comments here in memory of my sweet baby girl. I've always thought that the loss of a child was something I truly could not bear. Yet somehow, moment by moment, and surrounded by family members and her friends who loved her so much, I have made it through this first week. Now, I am just not sure how I will get through the days and years ahead without being able to touch her or hear her sweet voice. I know the hurt and missing will never go away, but I thank God for the years he allowed me to have this sweet, loving spirit in my life and know that He gives comfort and strength when it is most needed.
I love you so much, my Little Kim.
Mama
Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you – whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way we used to. Put no difference in your tone, wear no false air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed, play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever spoken without effort, without trace of shadow. What is death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well: by Canon Henry Scott Holland

Letter to Kim:
Dear Kim - You have been gone a whole week and we still cannot believe it is true. Everyone misses you so much. Your leaving has left a hole in many hearts. We are all doing our best to understand and are trying to help each other deal with our grief. We had your funeral yesterday and it was really beautiful. I think you would have been pleased. Nearly all the family was there! Kenny had the song you requested "Heart & Soul" played as well as several others. Your mom asked me to sing Amazing Grace at the grave side service knowing how much it meant to you. The flowers were beautiful-brightly colored and included some calla lilies (your favorite). We read the poem Thomas had written for you a few years ago which was very sweet. I gave the Eulogy and hope I did you justice. We laughed some-especially at the 'Food Wars' & 'Queen Kim' statements. But we cried a lot. The months ahead will be hard, especially by those closest to you. We love you but will have to let you go, knowing you are in a better place and no longer in pain. You will live on in our hearts and memories. I pray that you are resting in Peace and know that you are enjoying Heaven. Give my love to your grandparents(both sides)and others that I know welcomed you home.
Goodbye sweet Kim.
With Love - Aunt Amy

Kim will be missed by many, she always had a smile on her face. She was a very loving and caring person. We sure have had lots of good times together. Just keep the happy memories of her close to the heart. It will help to make it through the trying times. So sorry for such a loss. Your Kmart family will miss you.
