Mr. Hobkirk was born on February 13, 1940 in Citra, Florida. His father, Carlos Hobkirk and step-father Charles Gendron, and sister Lois Canales preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife Melissa "Mo" Hobkirk, mother Pearl Gendron, children, Jimmy Hobkirk (Jennifer), Joseph and Eric, Goldsboro, North Carolina; Ronald Hobkirk (Denise), Jessica and Ethan, Estellin, South Dakota; Cheryl Myrick (Norman) and Jill, Warner Robins; Robert Tynmann (Julie), Trever and Nathan, San Antonio; Ashley Cook and Orion, Warner Robins; brothers, John Michael Hobkirk (Sally); Paul Hobkirk (Colleen); sister, Patti Hood (Bill).
Memorial Services will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association 277 M.L.K. Jr., Boulevard, Suite 201, Macon GA 31201-3498.
