Warner Robins – Donald A. Spofford, 66, entered into rest on March 2, 2010.
Mr. Spofford was born on October 24, 1943 in Houlton, Maine. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy, participating in the Vietnam conflict as a medic. He subsequently owned a siding and small construction business until he began employment as a civil servant at Kelly Air Force Base, transferring to Robins Air Force Base at its closing. He was currently employed as a Program Manager at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, VFW and the American Legion. His parents, Stanley A. Spofford and Elizabeth A. Spofford, preceded him in death.
A caring and loving soul, he will be sorely missed by his loving wife of thirty six years, Betty Spofford, Warner Robins; sons, Donald Jr., Jarret, Corey, Mathew and Kyle to whose hero he was; and granddaughter Ava whom he adored.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, March 5, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Chaplain Alesia O'Reilly officiating.
