Jewel C. McDowell, 89, entered into rest on Friday, August 3, 2012.
Mrs. McDowell was born on February 24, 1923 in Fort Myers, Florida. A lifelong resident of Fort Myers, she was a member of McGregor Baptist Church, a 1940 graduate of Fort Myers High School and a former Miss Fort Myers. Warner Robins has been her home for the past two years. Her loving husband of forty-six years, Colonel Robert C. McDowell Sr. and parents, C.C. and Lela Youmans, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Robert C. McDowell, Jr. (Angela) and Pamela M. Williams (William) both of Kathleen and grandchildren, Alese McDowell, Marleigh McDowell, Corrie Williams and Kyle Williams
Visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Service and burial will be private.
