Robert Powell Price, 79, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 17, 2012.
Mr. Price was born on November 9, 1932 in Monroe County, Georgia. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Warner Robins where he served many years as a Deacon, was a Member of Brotherhood, attended the Keenager's and Friendship Sunday School Class, Sr. Adult Choir, helped with Vacation Bible School, and served as Church Clerk for thirty-seven years. A resident of Warner Robins since 1944, he graduated from Warner Robins High School. "Skeets" retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked in civil service for forty-two years in the Propeller Shop, Gyro Shop, and as a Production Manager. "Skeets" will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. His favorite past-times were attending Church and taking care of and spending time with his wife, children, and later his grandchildren. His parents, Joseph Erwin Price and Millie Powell Price; son, Tony Lee Price, and siblings, Kathryn Dixon, Doris Hubbard, and Allen Price, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Elizabeth "Lib" Smith Price; children, Jeffrey S. Price (Sandy), Andrea Price Lay (Mickey), all of Warner Robins; daughter-in-law, Lynne Elder Price, Gray; sister, Gloria Steffen, Ohio; grandchildren, Lauralee Price, Kayci Price, Keali Lay, Taylor Lay, several nieces and nephews, and many other loving family members.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, July 19, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Warner Robins with Dr. Kelly Pritchett, Jr., and Reverend Max Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Warner Robins-Building Fund or Elevator Fund, 1135 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
